Staying in the Light

Giving Naam, in partnership with Pasadena New Thought Center, is offering a series of free workshops to support those affected by the Eaton fire with breath, movement, meditation, and sound practices to restore your physical body, soothe your spirit, and calm your mind.

DATE: Sunday, April 27 – Staying in the Light
TIME:
3:00-5:00pm In-Person Only
LOCATION: Pasadena New Thought Center, 690 E. Orange Grove Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91104
NOTE: The May workshop will be on Sunday, May 18 from 3-5pm

ABOUT PARKING: The PNTC parking lot includes 30 parking spaces, offered first come first served. Carpooling is recommended. If the lot is full, parking is also available on the street!

DO YOU NEED A YOGA MAT? Giving Naam was gifted Manduka Yoga mats to donate to those who lost their mat in the Eaton fire. We have 13 more to donate, which will be given to workshop attendees on a first come first served basis until they run out.

What to Expect

This class is not a typical physical asana/postures based yoga practice. It is accessible to all regardless of prior yoga experience or not, or shape, size, age, race, sexual identity/preference, or physical ability level - everything can be easily modified, and we will help you do so as needed.

Participants should come prepared to sit, stand, and lay down for breathwork, gentle movement, self-generated sound vibration (mantra), mudra therapy (hand postures), guided meditation, sound healing, and rest. Guests are asked to wear comfortable layers to accommodate any change in body temperature, and may bring their yoga mat, a cushion and/or blanket, and refillable bottle of water. Folding chairs will also be provided.

About Naam

Naam breathwork, movement, and meditation practices align the body, mind, and nervous system for optimal health. It encourages a higher form of mental, physical and spiritual self-awareness and personal development. This is a practice that serves anyone who wants to feel more vitality, improve their organ health, stimulate the brain, and open the heart.

Naam classes combine the ancient spiritual wisdom of eastern yoga and meditation with western science. All are welcome!
